CMS Overview

WebSailer's Content Management System (CMS) allows you to manage and update your web site’s content without having to learn any programming languages, purchase 3rd party software, or be indebted to a company or developer for a monthly "maintenance fee."  It is a web-based system that allows you to update your web site content from almost any browser.  This allows the user to input plain text and automatically converts it to HTML for the web.  This CMS has a very simple learning curve.

Content is entered using an HTML text editor that has an interface which is very similar to Microsoft Word.  It includes features such as text formatting (bold, italics, underline, font colors, font sizes, etc.), paragraph formatting (center, left, right, justified), creating bulleted or numbered lists, adding links and specifying whether to open the link in the current window or a new window, uploading, inserting and formatting images, uploading and inserting flash movies into your pages, inserting special characters, etc.  Please click here see the administrative area example, which displays a basic user interface.

The HTML editor allows you to apply advanced formatting, like:

• Bold Text
• Italic Text
• Font Color
• Background Color
• Font Family
• Font Size
• Bulleted and Numbered Lists

In addition to being able to manage your web site content, this CMS also allows you to add, edit, and remove pages and menu items on the fly — up to two levels deep. Pages can simply be added or deleted with just a few clicks of your mouse. 

Advanced features include add-on modules such as an online shopping cart, members’ forum, PDF document library, online catalogs, image slideshows, image galleries with rotating images, guestbook, events calendar, and an online email/newsletter subscription service.  Note that these require additional, behind-the-scenes programming and can be included when your website is created, or added at any time down the road.
